Eros Luciano Walter Ramazzotti Molina was born on October 28, 1963, in the Cinecittà neighborhood of Rome, Italy. He is the son of Rodolfo Ramazzotti, a painter who also pursued a musical career, and Raffaela Molina, originally from Vibo Valentia. Eros grew up in an artistic environment and showed an early interest in music, receiving his first guitar at the age of eight. Although he attempted to enter a conservatory, he was rejected because he couldn't read sheet music. He eventually dropped out of school to pursue a career in music, participating in the "Voci Nuove di Castrocaro" contest in 1981, where he performed the song "Rock '80". Although he didn't win, he caught the attention of the DDD record label, with whom he signed his first contract.
